Developed by John Guedel, You Bet YOUR DAILY LIFE was one of the best-loved quiz displays to air on both radio and television. It was hosted by Groucho Marx of the Marx Brothers, with announcer and helper George Fenneman. It debuted on radio in 1947 and lasted until 1960. For a lot of this about WITHOUT A DOUBT YOUR DAILY LIFE with Groucho Marx, Vol. 1 time it was also noticed on television.

Contestant teams usually contains 1 male and 1 female, mostly preferred from the studio room audience. Groucho would take part in funny discussions using the contestants and, if they said the “secret word” (a common term uncovered to the target audience first of each episode), a plaything duck resembling Groucho-with glasses and a mustache-descended from the ceiling to create a $100 reward. After the conversations, the actual game began. Contestants had been “permitted to choose” from a list of twenty available classes and make an effort to answer some questions inside the category to win additional money. By the end of the display, the contestants could play for any jackpot query, risking half of their previous income in the hope of earning the Jackpot.
