Summary:
Ronnie Corbett comes back for the ultimate series of the sitcom that reunites him using the writers of his hit comedy Sorry – Ian Davidson and Peter Vincent.
Granddad Sandy Hopper is happily ageing with his doggie Henry and his lodger Dolores. But his children think Dolores is certainly a gold-digger, and so are willing for Sandy to downsize – something he guarantees he’ll do ‘when the dog dies’. In the meantime, he’s busy providing a guiding hand to his family, and assisting out when (regular) emergencies occur. about When The Dog Dies: Series 4: The BBC Radio 4 sitcom
In these six episodes, Dolores would go to live with her fresh man, departing Sandy feeling bereft. In addition, he must cope with both Henry and Calais working away; dropping his memory (but keeping in mind some items that are best overlooked); holdingauditions for The Sound of Music and Henry’s significantly odd behavior (why is he gnawing the piano calf?). Could it finally be time for Sandy to do what he’s spent four series staying away from – downsize?
Ronnie Corbett stars as Sandy, with Liza Tarbuck as Dolores in this fourth and final series of the favorite BBC Radio 4 sitcom. Playing time: 3 hrs approx.
