Their characters chart the occasions of the battle as they unfold and also their attempts to impact and overcome the fantastic tyranny of Nazism. Interspersed throughout are readings from an array of letters compiled by the men on leading line, charged with carrying out the decisions made by Churchill and Roosevelt.
