Sponsored from the Sign Oil Firm, The Whistler (Joseph Kearns, Gale Gordon and Costs Forman) was an ominous narrator who knew the killer’s every move also before they did. The stories adopted an effective method in which a person’s legal acts were typically undone by their own missteps. The Whistler often commenting directly upon the actions in the way of the Greek chorus, taunting the criminal from an omniscient perspective.
