Continuing the storyplot begun in The Hobbit, this is actually the first portion of Tolkien’s epic masterpiece, GOD, THE FATHER of the Rings.

Sauron, the Dark Lord, provides gathered to him all of the Rings of Power – the means by which he intends to rule Middle-earth. All he lacks in his programs for dominion may be the One Band – the band that rules all of them – which includes fallen into the hands of the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins.

Inside a sleepy village in the Shire, young Frodo Baggins finds himself faced with an immense task, as his older cousin Bilbo entrusts the Ring to his caution. Frodo must keep his house and make a perilous trip across Middle-earth towards the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ring and foil the Dark Lord in his bad purpose.
