“The Eyes OWN IT” is a humorous, early short tale by Philip K. Dick that 1st appeared in Science Fiction Tales in 1953. In it, a bus-riding audience of the discarded melodrama with an overactive creativity is persuaded from the hackneyed prose that this world continues to be taken over by aliens. Therefore, when “eye gradually roved around the area”, the reader imagines disembodied eyeballs touring of their own free will. A rare example of satire in the Dick canon.
