The CBS Radio Workshop aired from January 27, 1956, through Sept 22, 1957, and was a revival of the prestigious Columbia Workshop from the 1930s and 1940s. Originator William Froug released the series having a powerhouse two-part version of Brave New World and booked writer Aldous Huxley to narrate his famous novel. “We’ll hardly ever get a sponsor anyhow,” CBS vice leader Howard Barnes told Time, “so we might aswell try anything.”
