The Allegory of the Cave Audiobook (Free)
Summary:
The Allegory from the Cave appears in Plato’s Republic and compares the effect of education and the lack of it on human nature. It is written like a dialogue between Plato’s sibling and Socrates, who tells of people which have been chained towards the wall of the cave their whole lives. They observe shadows projected within the wall structure from objects transferring in front of a fire in it. Socrates explains the fact that philosopher is like a prisoner that has escaped the cave and realizes that the shadows within the wall structure are not the real reality at all.
