Summary:
Spearpoint, the final human city, can be an atmosphere-piercing spire of huge size. Clinging to its pores and skin are the zones, some semi-autonomous city-states, each which loves a different-and rigidly enforced-level of technology.
Following an infiltration mission that proceeded to go tragically wrong, Quillon has been living incognito, operating like a pathologist in the district morgue. However when a near-dead angel drops onto his dissecting desk, Quillon’s world is certainly wrenched apart once more. If Quillon is usually to save lots of his existence, he must leave his home and journey in to the frosty and hostile lands beyond Spearpoint’s foundation, starting an exile which will take him further than he could ever imagine. But there is certainly far more on the line than just Quillon’s own survival, for the limiting technologies from the zones are determined not by governments or law enforcement but by the very nature of reality-and reality itself is displaying worrying indications of instability.
