Susan Calman: Keep Calman Carry On: The Complete Series 1 and 2 Audiobook (Free)

Summary:

Susan Calman is the least relaxed person she understands. She has no down-time, no interests (if you don’t count dressing up your pet cats in silly clothes) and her notion of relaxation is to try out Assassin’s Creed, an hour into which she is in a murderous trend with sky high blood circulation pressure.

Her wife needed to threaten to divorce her to make her continue holiday, and she’s been told by the same long-suffering wife that unless she sees a way to turn off, and soon, she is going to end up being unbearable. Susan made the decision her greatest about Susan Calman: Keep Calman Carry On: THE ENTIRE Series 1 and 2 bet was to try to immerse herself in the pursuits that her close friends find soothing, to find her inner zen and outer tranquillity.

In the initial series of this display she attemptedto ditch the old Susan Calman and attemptedto find the new ‘Susan Calm’, by watching cricket with Andy Zaltzman; heading hillwalking with Muriel Grey; visiting a skill gallery with Phill Jupitus and going for a spontaneous vacation with John Finnemore. She enjoyed these pursuits, but all too soon found herself sliding back to her old methods. So she attempted once again in Series 2, which included studying gardening with Val McDermid, going to a music festival with Robin Ince, attempting her hand at baking with the Great British Bake Off’s Selasi Gbormittah, and having a chance at birdwatching with Emma Kennedy.

Keep Calman Carry On is a stand-up show before a live target audience, in which Susan reports on how successful she’s been – both at relaxing with the pursuit itself – as well as using in and discussing a handful of illustrative videos from her efforts. It’s an attempt to find out how people discover solace or sanctuary in these worlds, and how Susan can work out her own put in place them.
