And yet despite having all the annoyances, distractions, and occasional loss of life risks, Clyde’s found himself at the guts of a massive conspiracy to get rid of the Emperor. He’s the only one with proof that could save the person, and take down a whole network of corrupt nobles, wicked slavers, and power-hungry despots. Clyde really hopes Careena can be right about him-the destiny of the complete Empire depends on it.
