Jim joined the Army following graduation from Melrose SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in 1962. After a three-year stint, using the Vietnam War warming up, he went to college in the College or university of Wisconsin in River Falls, where he also offered being a police officer. He planned to return to active responsibility as a commissioned official upon obtaining his degree. He graduated from US Military Ranger School and acquired a payment while offering in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Fate intervened when he learned that the FBI required agents. With level in hand, the FBI, not really the Military, became his next thing. Jim and his wife of forty-eight years, Jenny, possess three produced sons and reside on the farm in Pecatonica, Illinois.
