Summary:
Read simply by Martin Freeman, in Life, the World and Everything, the third title in Douglas Adams’ blockbusting sci-fi comedy series, The Hitchhiker’s Information towards the Galaxy, Arthur Dent finds himself enlisted to prevent a galactic battle.
In consequence of several spectacular catastrophes, Arthur Dent is amazed to find himself living in a hideously unpleasant prehistoric Earth. However, just like he thinks that points cannot possibly get any even worse, they suddenly do. He discovers that this galaxy isn’t only mind-bogglingly big and bewildering, but also that a lot of of the things that happen in it are staggeringly unfair.
Escaping the finish of the world for a second period, Arthur, Ford, and their old friend Slartibartfast embark (reluctantly) on a mission to save the complete galaxy from fanatical robots. Not bad for a man in his dressing gown .
Stick to Arthur Dent’s galactic (mis)escapades in the rest of the trilogy with five parts: SUCH A LONG TIME, and Thanks for All the Seafood, and Mostly Harmless.
