An unhealthy woman lives definately not London within a cottage with her ‘indolent, careless, and extravagant’ son, Jack. Both have little cash and are forced to sell their last possession, a cow. Jack leads the pet along the street and meets an old man who deals some magic beans for the cow. Jack’s mom is certainly furious when she discovers he provides come home with no money, and tosses the beans away. The next morning, Jack discovers a beanstalk is continuing to grow to the clouds and climbs it… finally reaching a castle, high above the sky!
