Summary:
It really is 1989 and the disease caused by the testing of experimental bioweapons has ravaged much of the globe. The U.K. and European countries are in chaos as the pathogen spreads uncontrollably. The U.S., nominally arriving in force to offer military services and humanitarian assistance to their allies, are posturing dangerously with the east and failing woefully to unite over the common enemy of mankind.
As command and control are ramping up functions over the British Isles and European countries, the remnants of Johnson’s Yeomanry as well as the dispersed troops consolidate their position on the island stronghold and commence to turn to the near future, but events beyond their knowledge and control force them into desperate action.
Peter, by itself by choice and oddly thriving, sees himself suddenly in charge of the life span of someone other than himself. Adapting with ease, the young son begins showing the difference between nature and nurture.
Elsewhere, other survivors stake their personal claims to land and resources, but the inexplicable swarms of undead threaten to gather and dissipate continuously.
