Costs Wilson (1895 – 1971), also called Costs W., was the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), an organization dedicated to helping alcoholics break their habit. AA offers over two million users belonging to 100k groups of alcoholics helping other alcoholics attain and keep maintaining sobriety. In 1999 Period outlined him as “Expenses W.: The Healer” in the Time 100: THE MAIN Folks of the Century. In this recording, Wilson gives a open public lecture on the history of AA and his experience in 1934 when he was stopped at by old taking in companion Ebby Thacher, who was simply sober for many weeks beneath the guidance of the evangelical Christian Oxford Group.
