In despair the Earl goes up to the nursery to see his previous Nanny who has generally loved him and to whom he offers transformed with all his difficulties since his mom died. Nanny is usually appalled at the thought of him having to marry a German female he has never seen and she therefore has a clever idea and suggests to the Earl that he runs away. Actually, to hide his tracks, Nanny shows that he should elope with the individual he loves a lot more than anyone else, who’s in fact himself! The Earl does exactly as Nanny suggests. As he thinks his dad will send someone North to avoid him marrying at Gretna Green, he drives his horses South and eventually finds Land’s End, where he rescues a very pretty lady from a highwayman, who his wanting to grab her favourite horse. The Earl after that takes a work caring for horses for a distinguished General, who’s the daddy of lovely woman. How, unexpectedly, he discovers what he has always been seeking without really being aware of it, is certainly told with this fascinating story by BARBARA CARTLAND.
