ABOUT THE WRITER: Philip Purser-Hallard has written science fiction, criticism, comedy sketches and an inordinate quantity of email messages. His first novel, Of the town from the Saved…, was released in 2004. His other published works include brief fiction in The Publication from the Battle, A Life Worthy of Living and Wildthyme at the top. A long-term audience, enthusiast and critic of research fiction, he obtained his doctorate from Oxford School by writing on THE PARTNERSHIP between Inventor and Creature in Technology Fiction. This thesis, which examined the work of Olaf Stapledon, George Bernard Shaw and HG Wells amongst others, earned him the right to put the suitable initials ‘MA D Phil’ after his name. He has been employed being a teacher, secretary, cathedral caretaker and researcher for the modified edition from the Oxford British Dictionary.
