Colonial Williamsburg, Part I — from Tavern to Palace Audiobook (Free)

Summary:

The Colonial Williamsburg you are visiting is literally a window to the past where we are able to see in detail the thriving town that served as the Capital of Virginia for eighty years. PARTLY I, we begin our tour at among the popular taverns that offered the guys who we realize today as our Founding Fathers. Along our tour route we’ll see shops that still provide colonial-era goods. We’ll also check out a number of the open public buildings where in fact the innocent and guilty had their day time in court — and where Blackbeard’s pirates had been jailed! We’re also going to see some of the most elegant structures in town, occupied by some of the most important men of the Colonial Era. And speaking of elegant buildings, we’ll end Component I in the magnificent Governor’s Palace, home to the King’s representative, and, to America’s first governors.
